In view of the imminent entry into force of the “Regulation of the People’s Republic of China on the Registration and Management of Overseas Manufacturers of Imported Food” – Decree no. 248 (Exporting food to China: GACC issues two new Regulations) –  planned for the 1st January 2022, the Chinese competent authority published the registration platform for foodstuffs manufacturing, processing and storage foreign enterprises intended to export their products within the Chinese territory.

Starting from the 1st November, all food exporters not included in the following categories – meat and meat products, casings, seafood products, dairy products, bird’s nest, bee products, eggs and eggs products, edible oils and fats, filled pasta, edible cereals, grain mill industrial products and malt, fresh and dehydrated vegetables and dried beans, seasonings, nuts and seeds, dried fruit, unroasted coffee beans and cocoa beans, special products for dietary purposes and health products – which will be subject to a registration recommended by the competent authority of the home country – can proceed with the required registration through the platform “single window”.
