At the last meeting of 2014, the President of the Propeller Club, Fabrizio Zerbini, described a positive record for the club’s activities in 2014, and Francesco Parisi was awarded the “Golden Propeller”. At the National Assembly recently held in Monfalcone, Zerbini was appointed national vice president of the club, Alberto Pasino (vice president in Trieste) was appointed member of the national board, and the honorary member Enzio Volli, was re-elected to the ethics and disciplinary committee. The club reports that the numerous meetings held in 2014 dealt with logistics and transport, railway infrastructures, cruise industry and shipping. The Trieste section of the Club has meanwhile exceeded 100 members, besides the honorary members, thus growing in number.
The award went to Parisi in appreciation “for a prominent personality, who particularly distinguished himself in the activities of the maritime and port sectors and in the development of Trieste”. Parisi, who heads the group of the same name, has been President of the International Federation of the Freight-forwarders’ Associations since October 2013.
