Stefano Zunarelli has been confirmed by acclamation as AIDIM’s national Vice President for the 2018 – 2020 period. Alberto Pasino has been appointed as member of the National Executive Committee.

On 13 November 2017 AIDIM’s General Assembly was held in Genoa. AIDIM is the Italian section of Comité Maritime International (CMI) and was established in 1899 to take part in the work to unify maritime law and in the studies and researches on the maritime issues started by CMI.

In renewing the positions within the association for the 2018 – 2020 period, the Assembly confirmed Giorgio Berlingieri as President and Stefano Zunarelli as Vice President, also appointing Alberto Pasino as member of the National Executive Committee.

During the Assembly the President described the activities carried out by the Association in the 2015 – 2017 period that culminated in the CMI Assembly that was held in Genova in September 2017.

After Marco Lopez de Gonzalo was appointed President of the Genoa Regional Committee and Elda Turco Bulgherini was appointed President of the Rome Regional Committee, Elena Orrù, Research fellow of Shipping Law at the University of Bologna, gave the presentation “The relationships between bill of lading and contract of carriage also in light of the Rotterdam Rules” and Andrea La Mattina, of the University of Genoa, discussed “Lex Maritima and CMI: towards a further unification of maritime law”.
